#Arkh wants and NEEDS our supporters to spread the word in real life. Are you in any queer organizations, PoC organizations, QPoC organizations or just plain old human rights organizations? Are you in a major city and can just hand out flyers on the street?

WE NEED YOU.

Be a part of Arkh’s street team!

The street team is an attempt to get Arkh into the eyes of people who might not spend a lot of time online, but would have an interest anyway.

The best thing about joining the street team is that all it requires is your TIME and DEDICATION.

The above is a flyer you can print and distribute at your leisure. You can download the PDF here. Distribute these flyers WHEREVER YOU WANT. Leave them in apartment buildings, libraries, stores, universities, and just plain hand them out on the street.

And if you want to, and you can? TAKE VIDEO! Send us video of your exploits and help us let the world know that Arkh is here and Arkh is EVERYWHERE

That said, Arkh is looking for people in NYC to be part of the NYC street team. We will specifically plan a Saturday or Sunday to hang out in Manhattan and hand out flyers. We also need someone to video us! Email thearkhproject@gmail.com and let us know if you’re available!

And don’t forget today’s TWITTER BLITZ! Tweet #Arkh and spread the word!

I would like to support this project.

I legitimately, honestly, would.

Because yes - we need inclusiveness in video games, as well as other forms of media. We need inclusiveness in the storylines, in the art, in the personalities, in the backgrounds, and in the developers.

But I do have some issues with this project that are preventing me from donating. They mainly surround the character Haruka, being an admitted ‘redrafting’ (for lack of a better word) of Haruka Tenoh of Sailormoon, and the lack of background on the people in charge of the project.

I’m fine with drawing inspiration, especially from Haruka Tenoh, as she’s a stand-apart character, particularly for when she came out in the 90’s, but given that name, personality (for the most part), weapon, and even some backstory of Arkh’s character is so silly close to the Sailormoon character, I’m hesitant to support it, because it isn’t really what I would consider original work.

The only other thing I have problems with is the lack of background from the two main producers of this game. They say they have prior experience in the field, and a history with games, but from what I’ve looked, I’ve not been able to find anything to show that they have a lot of experience in this field. I’m hesitant to donate my money to this cause when I can’t be sure that the money is going to a game that will be finished, or even made on something other than, say, RPG maker. From the gameplay bits that I was linked to, I don’t feel the game is living up to what I had expected, or possibly what they had expected, and don’t understand why they’re requesting so much money for such a project.

I can get over the bit with Haruka. But as much as I would love to donate and support such a wonderful concept that really, honestly needs to be brought to life, I won’t do so unless I know where the money is going to, and that it will be put to good use for game production.

Arkh Project, I wish you the best of luck, and I hope I see more in the future that will convince me to donate. I want all the best for this!
